DEVELOPMENT OF AXIOMATIC GREEN METHOD FOR GREEN IMPROVEMENT (CASE STUDY: PARAMETER DESIGN FOR NEAR-DRY MACHINING IN PT. STALION)
Green improvement in machining process could come from manufacturer initiative. But, they usually doubt to apply this improvement because it will influence product quality and production cost. To analyse this influence, the relationship between green, quality, and cost objectives should be modelled....

Using axiomatic quality principle, this research has been developed some methodology which is axiomatic green. This approach is started by mapping the relationship between all of the objectives defined using axiomatic tree diagram. Then, an experiment is conducted to define the relationship between relevant response and control variables. Finally, in the optimization phase, analytical techniques used to generate and optimize non-linear programming (NLP) formulation. This proposed method has been implented at PT. Stalion in improving process of traditional lathe machine to be greener. Improvement could be done by setting some machining process parameters so debit of coolant could be reduced from 4 litre/min to be 0,3194 litre/min. This solution not only reduced environment impact, but also made the process more efficent with cost reduction of 59,06 rupiahs. |
