One of the conditions that must be fulfilled is the aspect of structural strength. This report contains an analysis of the strength of the bogie frame based on Ministerial Regulation No. 175 of 2015 and UIC 615-4 standard. <br />

The purpose of this study is to obtain the bogie frame characteristic due to static loading which is expressed by maximum stress and deformation. The level of safety from the structure is determined by standard criteria. <br />

Based on the simulation result of main in-service load and exceptional load based on UIC 615-4 standard, bogie frame structure needs to be modified, especially on the air suspension holder. The simulation results of the modified bogie frame structure show that the bogie frame complies the UIC 615-4 standard in all cases of loading. Maximum stress occurring is 350 MPa at pivot for exceptional load case and 321 MPa at air suspension holder location for main in-service load case. The maximum deformation occurred in load case 9 of main in-service load which the value is 4.99 mm. <br />
