Indonesia had the plans to the host of MotoGP in 2017 until 2019. Dorna Sports as the promoter of MotoGP officially appointed Indonesia as one of the host of MotoGP organizers in 2017. Dorna party has submitted an official letter of appointment of Indonesia as host of MotoGP 2017. But it failed because Indonesia still does not have a circuit that meets the MotoGP race standards. Even so Indonesia still has the opportunity to host MotoGP in 2018 until 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> Until now Sentul International Circuit is the only international circuit owned in Indonesia. The biggest opportunity for the MotoGP race is at the Sentul Circuit. But since 1997 until now this circuit has not increased significantly. The track layout is too short and the facility does not meet the standards of the FIM (Federation of International Motorcycle). <br /> <br /> <br /> According to the manager, for organize the MotoGP race at least there are 5 point that must be addressed, namely race tracks, pit buildings, racing control tower, medical buildings, and grand stand. Director of PT. Sarana Sirkuitindo Utama requested that the building design can meet international standards to be able to host MotoGP, but also the design of the building is requested so as not to be left behind by the times or buildings can look modern without leaving the locality of Indonesia because it is hoped this circuit can be a circuit of pride the Indonesian nation and can compete with international circuits from other countries.
