Indonesia as a country that located in the ring of fire, is one of the most vulnerable location to earthquake disasters, civil engineers have to build the infrastructure that can endure under seismic load. Dramaga Tower A is one of the apartment building that located at apartment and retail complex Dramaga City, Bogor. This building has 17 floor with 52.5 meter height with function of floor 1-17 as residence and ground floor as retail. <br />

On the location of Dramaga tower A, the site classification is SD or medium soil and combined with the design seismic load that occur on the location, building structure category defined as Seismic Design Category D (KDS D). Response spectrum is used as method of analyzing seismic load. The structure designed using dual system : Special moment resisting frame (SRPMK) and special structural wall (SDSK). The structure is modeled using ETABS 15 software. The ETABS is used to check the structure response, structure period, structure stability, and the irregularity both horizontal and vertical. <br />

In the process of designing of upper structure, ultimate seismic load combination is used. Output of force and area of reinforcement bar from ETABS 15 are used in designing the elements. For designing shear wall and column elements, additional software PCA Col and CSI Col are used to help with the interaction diagram.
