The purpose of this final project is design and analyze pile foundation system and protection of basement excavation. Pile foundation is designed to bear load from the structure meanwhile the retaining wall is designed to protect basement excavation. <br /> <br /> <br /> The objective of foundation design is to get the configuration of bored pile which is bear the load and the settlement which is occurs below the allowable amount. The foundation configuration use 60 cm diameter bored pile as much 1470 piles with various depth (16, 31 and 49m) and various spacing too. The group pile is designed as pile raft with the pile bear all of load and the raft unify all of piles. <br /> <br /> <br /> Protection of 11 m excavation (3 basement floors) is used diaphragm wall and prestressed ground anchor. The analysis calculated using PLAXIS 2D with staged construction, wall installation, 5 steps of excavation and 3 steps of ground anchor installation. Thickness of the diaphragm wall is 0,8 m with 29 m depth from the surface. The ground anchors are installed at the elevation -3 m, -6 m and -9,5 m with various prestressed force. The design of diaphragm wall reinforcement divided into five zone area which is reinforced based on positive moment, negative moment and shear that occur in the diaphragm wall. text
