This study aims to determine the value of flushing time in Citarum River estuary area. Calculation of the value of time drain on this research using empirical and numerical methods. <br /> <br /> <br /> Flushing time value influenced by other physical parameter values that exist in the estuary, such as tides, salinity, water flow rate of the river, and Citarum River estuary topographic data. The data is sourced from the physical parameter measurement data field survey conducted by researchers earlier in 2013. The flushing time value during the rainy season will occur more rapidly than the value of the flushing time the dry season, it is influenced by discharge of river water that occurs in two seasons. Flushing time calculation results in the rainy season using empirical method was 2.2 hours while using numerical methods kurasnya time of 4.75 hours. In the dry season the results of calculations using the flushing time was 8.25 whereas the empirical method using a numerical method the flushing time is 17.75 hours. Differences in the value of both empirical and numerical methods can later be used as a flushing time span that occur in estuaries Ciratum River text
