Description
Summary:This study aims to create a business model of digital financial services using the concept of financial technology based on branchless banking method that can be used to help people in rural areas to have access to banking services. The problems that have been happening are access to banks or financial institutions for people in rural areas is very limited. Various factors are indicated to be why it does not have access to financial services, some of which are distant financial distance constraints, enormous costs for transportation to reach financial services, and uninterrupted access times. This is sometimes not proportional to the nominal amount of money transactions made. While the reach of the Bank is still a lot that has not reached the rural area due to the high cost of the bank to build a new office.

Therefore, a special approach was undertaken in this study to design a business model for digital financial services appropriate for the rural community area. Due to the use of branchless banking methods that use agents as a substitute for banks, it is necessary to conduct an assessment related to how the management of agents is suitable and appropriate for this service. In addition, this study also discusses related risk management and information security that refers to the best practices in the world and regulations issued by the Financial Services Authority and Bank Indonesia

The methodology used in this study uses the methodology of systems engineering (SE) approach which is an interdisciplinary field of engineer that focuses on how to design and manage complex project engineers. It also used qualitative and quantitative mix methods to ensure the accuracy of the design. The design of digital financial services model is expected to be a digital payment solution that can reach people in the rural area to become cashless society, connecting between villages and cities that can minimize the gap distance that has been happening and support the government program in the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT).
