Summary: | The numerical weather prediction model is an atmospheric and oceanic mathematical calculation method for calculating weather predictions. In use it needs to be verified to see the ability of weather prediction model to describe the actual events.

The simplest process of weather prediction model prediction is by looking at rain cover, the verification is done with Fraction Skill Score calculation that is the calculation of rain cover for each grid. The neighborhood approximation method is then used to provide a verification size limit. The neighborhood approach method is a method of calculating the weather prediction model where the approach is done spatially and temporally with several verification domains.

From the calculation result of verification, it was found that by using 1: 2 verification domain scale got better verification result that is with accumulation
value 70,951 and average 0,297 for 3 mm rainfall threshold. Then made a simple comparison that is by comparing the land and sea area to see the effect and found that the ocean region has a higher verification value caused by the parameterization done. |
