The increasing number of people to give effect to some of the services needed by the city, the aspect is waste management services. At this time the coverage of public services under the control of the Department of Human Settlements, spatial and cleanliness og Kubu Raya regency reached 30%. While the level of the management of waste transport system reached 54%, with the amount of waste on average every day that goes to landfill Rasau Jaya is 176 m3 / day. Pattern garbage collection consists of direct individual pattern and communal direct pattern with container placement polling stations in 28 points and 6 points TPS form of container. Based on the sampling results to the settlement obtained by the average equivalence of waste generated was 0.30 kg / person / day (2.41 l / person / day) with a density of 110 kg / m3. Waste composition is dominated by food waste at 52.97%, then the waste of paper and cardboard by 12%. To involve the community in efforts to waste minimization efforts 3R, based on the mass balance material waste reduction efforts to the landfill could reach 17.7%.
