Summary: | The high mobility of Jabodetabek civilian commuter indicates how a mass transportation has become a necessity. In order to provide transportation services in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi, PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) operates Kereta Api Listrik (KRL) which is called KRL Commuter Jabodetabek. KRL Commuter Jabodetabek is targeted to provide means of transportation for commuter who will conduct their activities during the busy hours of the morning and the afternoon. The commuter during the busy hours has to endure long hours in a cramped space along with thousands of other commuter. This shows an imbalance between the numbers of passenger compared to the available capacity.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the compatibility between the available capacity (supply) to accommodate all of the passenger (demand) as well as giving alternative solution recommendation in order to increase the capacity of services of KRL Commuter Jabodetabek in accommodating the passenger during the busy hours.
There are six alternative solutions that is proposed from the analysis such as optimization of the available elements as well as providing additional elements that is required to increase the service capacity of KRL Commuter Jabodetabek. Each alternatives provide a certain contribution percentage of improvement during the busy hours such as; alternative I provide a maximum of 9% (morning) and 7% (afternoon), alternative II provide a maximum of 26% (morning) and 25% (afternoon), alternative III provide a maximum of 37% (morning) and 42% (afternoon), alternative IV provide a maximum of 50% (morning) and 54% (afternoon), alternative V provide a maximum of 39% (morning) and 38% (afternoon), and alternative VI provide a maximum of 49% (morning) and 48% (afternoon).
