Many developed countries answer this needs by rail-based mass public transportation such as MRT, LRT, and Metro. KRL Commmuterline Jabodetabek is currently the only rail-based mass transportation operating in the Jabodetabek megapolitan hence its service is very vital to support the people’s movement. But currently there are KRL Commuterline Jabodetabek stations which don’t operate optimally seen from the lag of station passengers.This phenomenon indicates that the station location planning and the network development of KRL Commuterline Jabodetabek is incorrect. In planning of the transportation infrastructure, projection of demand for the service is required. In other studies on other rail-based mass transportation systems found that demand on the station is influenced by the characteristics of the station, namely (1) land use, (2) external connectivity; (3) intermodal connection; and (4) station context. For that, an analysis is done to find out how the relationship of characteristic factor of KRL Commuterline Jabodetabek station in influencing the demand of ridership. The analysis was done by using Multiple Linear Regression method. From the analysis results it is known that the factors that affect the demand for ridership on Commutelrine KRL stations are accessibility factors while the land use activity in the station area has no significant effect. text
