Summary:The study was conducted in oil and gas field owned by PT. VICO Indonesia, Alfa field, Kutai Basin, East Kalimantan. This research investigates data from 17 wells ± within an area of 12 km2. This interval study has a potential to produce natural gas. Based on correlation with sequence method, known that the reservoir located in the interval SB 2 – FS 3. <br /> <br /> Elektrofacies analysis which is compiled with core analysis, shows a gamma ray log pattern that reflects grain size and deposition environment. From the analysis elektrofacies and compiled with the architectural facies model of Mahakam Delta obtained two architectural facies, namely: distributary channel and interdistributary plain. These fasies is exactly what will be used as a framework for determining the volumetric. The hydrocarbon reserve in SB 2 – FS 3 is 9,06 BSCF.
