Summary:In order to overcome congestion in Bandung which is caused by the high movement and limited road network, one of the solution is by implementing public transportation system. Bandung has some kind of public transportation modes, for example : urban transportation, public bus (Damri and Trans Metro Bandung), and train. From those public transportation modes, train is one of the mode that can accommodate more passenger with longer distance and also has its own track. One of the active train in Bandung is called Baraya Geulis, which accommodate the trip from Padalarang to Cicalengka. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> By the aim of improving KRD Patas Baraya Geulis’ services, evaluation of Baraya Geulis service performance is done. Influential attributes of train services is analyzed, which refers to the minimum standards of urban railway services. Those attributes will be assessed directly by the train passenger. The result of research on each attributes will be analyzed by using importance-performance analysis (IPA) method. Importance-performance analysis, in later will produce an evaluation of Baraya Geulis’ services. Those influential attributes are (1) Ease of reaching the station locations (2) The accuracy of train travel schedule (3) Availability of train schedules and fares information (4) Safety and convenience while on the train (5) Convenience on the way up and down the train (6) friendliness and courtesy officers in serving passengers (7) Cleanliness and air circulation inside the train (8) supporting facilities in the train (fan , luggage racks, handles for standing passengers) (9) capacity of passengers in train (10) Speed and accuracy officers in providing the required passenger information <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Refered to the result of analysis, there are some suggestions that offered to improve KRD Patas Baraya Geulis’ services, such as : improving security and safety of passenger, maintaining the quality of railway, optimalizing some supporting facilities in train, and balancing the number of selling tickets and capacity of train.
