Description
Summary:We carried out resistivity geoelectric measurements using Wenner-Schlumberger configuration at Kawah Baru crater, Papandayan volcano, Garut, West Java. The purpose of these measurements is to determine the resistivity structure of Kawah Baru. Measurements carried out on five lines, where the length of each line is 150 m and the distance between the electrodes is 10 m. Using Geores Multichannel instrument measured electric current (I) and potential difference (V) to get apparent resistivity. We used Least Square inversion process to get the real value resistivity. From the results, it can be seen that the resistivity around of Kawah Baru crater is high when depth increase. The results also indicate that the top layer of Kawah Baru crater is the layer that comes from Papandayan volcanic eruptions in 2002 with resistivity is 1.01-39 Ωm while the under layer has a great resistivity value with the highest value is 690 Ωm, thought to be a layer that was formed before 2002 eruption.
