Summary:Water Supply Facility Management (BPSPAM) as a manager of PAMSIMAS program in rural areas is builded to be able to improve drinking water services to the community with technical aspects as a basis for the preparation of rural water supply improvement plans. The purpose of this study are to evaluate rural water supply system in West Java and to plan technical development design of rural water supply system by choosing location in Kasomalang Kulon village. Based on field survey results, rural water supply system in West Java province encountered some technical problems that impact on running of water supply system in rural area. Some technical problems that occurred in Kasomalang Kulon village with service coverage of 8.32%, are: the transmission system from the water source to the reservoir was tapped by the community, water quality that accepted by the villagers was turbid and appeared white suspension on the surface, and uncontinous water distribution to the communities. Basic design that used is 10 years consideration of design period by using two springs water. Design is started by projecting the total population, projecting public and social facilities, calculating the needs of drinking water, and measure the quality of raw water. The design of rural water supply system of Cipurut spring water are spring water protection (PMA), transmission system by gravity system using PVC pipe 3-inch and 4-inch diameter, slow sand filter (SSF) to remove manganese size of 8.5 m length x 4.25 m width x 2.5 m height and a reservoir with 117.45 m3 capacity. While the transmission system for Cimutan spring water using centrifugal pumps with specifications total head (HT) of 115 m and (Q) 10 L/s capacity and 147.96 m3 of reservoir. Disinfection with TCCA tablets will kill coliform before distribution with PVC pipes 3-inch diameter to RW 01, RW 02 and RW 03 need 3 kg/day of TCCA tablets and with PVC pipes of 3-inch diameter to RW 04, RW 05, RW 06, and RW 07 need 2.5 kg/day of TCCA tablets. The draft budget (RAB) for water supply system in Kulon Kasomalang village around Rp1,244,255,000.
