Waduk Melati was built in purpose to control flooding. However, due to the lack of supervision and management of reservoirs, surrounding communities make the reservoir as a landfill and domestic waste water recipient. The water in the reservoir has poor quality, it is proven by the high value of TSS, BOD, COD, oil and grease, and E.coli. WWTP which had been built in the village of Kebon Jeruk proved unable to process all domestic wastewater generated by the community. Therefore, the construction of the new WWTP with a larger capacity is expected to deal with water pollution in Melati Dam. Effluent generated by WWTP will then be processed so that it fulfills quality standards for raw water according to PP 82/2001. Processing is done in WTP Waduk Melati by using an Advanced Oxidation Process. The selection of AOP is adjusted to the influent water. This WTP also consist of other processing units such as grease trap, DAF, neutralization tank, and sump pit. Total investment required for this WTP is about Rp 5.669.288.952. text
