Therefore, this study aims to develop a supportive bedroom design for the elders by applying human factor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> principles. Due to different subgroups of the elders need different design requirements, they were classified into three subgroups based on physical ratings: independent, cane required, and wheelchair required. A total of 11 Indonesian bedrooms were selected as the representatives of the design evaluation. This evaluation was conducted by using bedroom design checklist with Likert scales ranging from 1 (completely not compliant design) to 5 (completely compliant design). The evaluation results revealed that most of the current design were mostly compliant design towards <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> independent and cane required design while moderately compliant design towards wheelchairs required design. Human body measurement and space required were the most common problem in the current design. In the end of this study the guidelines were presented to design appropriate bedrooms. text
