EVALUATION OF PLAYGROUND QUALITY BASED ON CHILD FRIENDLY PLAYGROUND AND PARENTS PERSCEPTION (Case Study of Taman Sampangan, Taman Tirto Agung and Taman Menteri Supeno Semarang)

Child Friendly City (CFC) is very important to be developed as more and more children will grow up in urban areas so that by 2025, the number of Indonesian children who live in the city is estimated at 60%. KLA is also deemed important to be a national agenda given the limited government policy to integrate child rights issues into development planning district / city. Commitment of the Government of Indonesia for a variety of international agreements to make the protection of children's rights to get a positive response by the Government to develop policies Semarang City Proper Child. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection No. 12 of 2011 on Child Friendly Cities indicators are 5 clusters and 31 indicators. Clusters consist of civil rights and freedoms; family environment and alternative care; basic health and welfare; education, use of leisure time and cultural activities; special protection. In the education cluster, use of leisure and cultural activities are components of the playground. Data Bapermas Semarang in 2015 stated that Taman Sampangan, Taman Tirto Agung and Taman Menteri Supeno are already set to become creative and recreational facilities that are child friendly. But many things are not going according to function so that children rarely play in the playground. Hence the need for an evaluation of the playground in the city of Semarang to develop criteria, indicators and evaluation techniques to get the exact fulfillment of whether the playground is feasible or not. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of the playground in the city of Semarang. In addition through observation, assessment also through the perception of parents who have children aged 5-12 years. There are six criteria that is generated in this study are safety, health, security, comfort, attractiveness and accessibility. Based on parents' perceptions and observations made had a different evaluation results. In observation revealed that the three playgrounds have a pretty decent value while the perception expressed less feasible. This difference is because parents assess subjectively, not normative. Therefore, in the proposed recommendations, there are several components that must be addressed and do maintenance on a regular basis. In this case referenced in reforming observation.
