Summary: | Mixed Layer Depth monthly variations in the ocean south of the island of Java have been studied using the temperature and density calculations. Data were obtained from the World Ocean Atlas (WOA) in 2013 with a resolution 0,25o. The study area was divided into 6 regions 2ox2o-sized area located in coastal areas and offshore. The results showed generally mixed layer depth with temperature calculation is greater than the density. <br />

In offshore areas, mixed layer depth with temperatures reaching a maximum at 79,75- 8,76m in July-August and reaches a minimum at 25,25-29,11 m in January-February. Mixed layer depth with the calculation of the density reaches a maximum at 72-90 m in February-March and a minimum of 15-27,27 m in February-March. |
