| Summary: | Land cover change is one of important factor that affect global environmental change. Phenomena of land cover change in a region caused by several factors both physic and socio-economic, and depend on characteristic of region. Therefore, the influence factor of land cover change in each region is a different. This researc purpose to analyze the influence factors of land cover change and predict a land cover change in the development region of West Java. The influence factor and phenomena of land cover change will be modeled using a binary logistic regression method and spatial using a GIS tool. The results of this study indicate that land cover change in each development region of West Java and entire of West Java influence by different factors. Generally, influence factors that dominant affect to land cover change is socio-economics and specially is factor of distance to CBD. To get more information and detail about factors that influence the land cover changes in West Java is result from modeling in partially on each development areas. The prediction model of land cover changes that performed on each development region in West Java can better identity the land cover that change or not change with the range of ROC is 0.75 – 0.92 compared the prediction model of land cover changes that performed on entire region in West Java with the range of ROC is 0.50 – 0.75. |
