To prove this assumption, researcher conducting a multiple <br /> <br /> case study, studying a behaviour of two small team of Indonesian (Short Term Awardss (STA) <br /> <br /> and Tulodo) working for foreign leader. This research in specific is looking at the behaviour of <br /> <br /> the staff under the management/leadership of these foreign leader from two different culture. <br /> <br /> How it affects the leader’s performance, or their understanding of local culture plays a role in <br /> <br /> their leadership style? <br /> <br /> The research methodology used in this thesis is qualitative data, by asking each of the team <br /> <br /> member 7 questions. At the same time, both of leader also being interviewed. From the answer, <br /> <br /> researcher then highlighted the common answer to prove the assumption. The research questions <br /> <br /> are how the small team of Indonesian explain working with foreigner in positive and negative <br /> <br /> way, and how the culture of their leader affect the leader performance. <br /> <br /> Based on the findings, both of the leader shows a complete different characteristic as explain by <br /> <br /> their team. Both of the team consider their manager as a leader, and both the manager also <br /> <br /> consider themselves as a leader. No significant different between Indonesian manager and <br /> <br /> foreign manager in term of culture, what matter is their personality or characteristics. Suffice to <br /> <br /> say that from this particular case study, culture that leader have or their local culture <br /> <br /> understanding plays no role or a little role in leadership. <br /> <br /> There are still some areas where both leader need to improved based on the team respond. Janne <br /> <br /> Laukkala will need to start to delegate most of his work to his team, and reduce working long <br /> <br /> hours. Nicholas Goodwin have communication issue, and the team need him to sit together to <br /> <br /> make a priority list. text
