MODELLING RESERVOIR STRUCTURE IN Mt. ARGOPURO WITH MAGNETOTELLURIC METHOD

The research area located in Mt. Argopuro, East Java. We can predict subsurface resistivity structure with magnetotelluric methods. Magnetotelluric method is one of the geophysical methods used to map the subsurface resistivity structure. This method uses natural sources of electromagnetic waves due...

Magnetotelluric method is one of the geophysical methods used to map the subsurface resistivity structure. This method uses natural sources of electromagnetic waves due to interaction of the sun and the lightning activity with the earth. Inversion modelling is used to estimate the physical parameters of the subsurface (resistivity) based on

magnetotelluric data. 1-D modelling can estimate the resistivity variation with depth at the sounding site, while the 2-D modelling can describe the distribution of the resistivity values in the lateral and vertical on line of measurement. text
