Description
Summary:PT. X Cikarang is a tire manufacturing company for 4-wheels and 2-wheels automobile. This company is using machine throughout their working process such as in tire building and curing process. Those process requires the workers to do their work while standing for 8 hours or one shift of work and in their top condition in high concentricity. The aim of this study is to find the effect of work environment factors such as temperature, humidity, light intensity and noise, and work load to work fatigue indicator at tire building and curing process. To test workers fatigue, the method used is dry chemistry system with enzyme salivary alpha-amylase (sAA) test. The physical workload value of the TBM division is categorized as moderate and for the Curing division is also categorized as work with moderate work. Based on Spearman correlation analysis, respondent's characteristic did not have significant effect to fatigue, but environmental factors such as humidity, noise and physical work load significantly influenced sAA concentration in TBM. Based on the analyzed data, physical work load is showing a positive response to the cause of fatigue in TBM. Based on the results of linear regression, physical workload is the most significant factor in increasing the value of sAA concentration in worker fatigue in TBM division. For Curing division based on the regression result it is found that mental work load is the most influential variable in increasing the value of sAA concentration.
