Reserve calculation using volumetric method shows that X geothermal field has electricity potential of 108 MWe. A geothermal power plant will be built in this field with installed capacity of 20 MWe. It is estimated that the power plant wil consume steam of 105 kg/s. <br /> <br /> <br /> Reservoir simulation was carried out to predict the reservoir performance during production or electricity generation period. Model was developed using TOUGH2 simulator. The model is validated by comparing the pressure and temeperature from the result of calculation with measured (field) data at their natural state condition, before the reservoir is exploited. The simulation results show a good match. Model is then used to predict the reservoir performance for the next 25 years. The simulation results show that this reservoir is able to supply steam to the 20 MWe power plant with water injection without having significant pressure and temperature depletion. text |
