Even for the author, the space that plays a role in the author's self-formation is not only the real and concrete one. The presence of imaginary spaces also has an important role for the author in understanding the essence of the body, soul and reality of its self. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In the idea of this work, the author wants to invite the appreciator to see and be part of the imaginary spaces constructed through mirror reflections that arranged as door and window corridors. Doors and windows are the analogous to connecting between two places, two segments and two spaces. By presenting a mirror in the center of an artificial corridor, the author hopes the appreciator can be reminded of the presence of the door as a translational medium that must be passed when we heading into another space or room. The presence of door and window corridors also implies the apreciator of a distance and hope. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> On the mirror surface, the author presens figures in daily activities with some strange gestures and object juxtapositions. The activities are easily recognizable as common human activities, such as eating, drinking, sitting, sleeping, etc. The odd gestures and object placement then become important thing in the work as an element in distinguishing the real space with the imaginary space formed on the mirror surface with our reflection within. Those visual code was intentionally built to create an imaginary space with a magical realism approach. The figure that is present on the mirror is associated standing between two rooms connected with the door and window corridors along with the reflections of the people standing in front of the work. This connectivity also implies that the imaginary spaces of life are inseparable with us (our thought and shadow), but we can never live in them physically. In the process of reading the meaning of this work, the author uses the theory of Magical Realism and Phenomenology of Space and Body of Juhani Pallasma. text
