Description
Summary:Nowadays, biological detection is needed in some industry. Some of detection

method already done but in this research we use sensor based surface plasmon

resonance which have a high sensitivity and one of free label method. Detection

without specific tag or color used to get high sensitivity measurement of analyte

or biomolecules. One way to exited SPR is Total Internal Reflection (TIR) in

boundary of dielectric and metal from fiber optic. Therefore, in this research

fabrication and simulation using Comsol Multiphysics 5.3 of tapered fiber was

done. Simulation was done to know the effect of electromagnetic field of sensor.

Krestchmann method and tapered fiber was done with some variation such as type

of metal, thickness of metal, angle of incidence and also wavelength. The tapered

fiber that generated have a 9 degree tilt by tapering rig and can be used to

biomolecule detection with an amount dip friction of porcine is 34,12 nm and

12,97 nm bovine. Besides that, from the simulation of sensor which was produced

known that have a 2,3891 sensitivity of sensor.
