Summary: | The Indonesian Aerospace Museum is a museum with Indonesian aviation collections displaying

the history and technology of the aerospace. The museum is located on the road of Batu Batu, Cicendo,

Bandung which is aerobiopolis area. Total building area of about 12000 m2 .. Target visitors are local

residents, out of town, and abroad. The Indonesian Aerospace Museum is located in the PT Dirgantara

Indonesia area, or precisely in front of PTDI's hangar right to store products from PTDI. The collection

of Indonesian Aerospace museum is sourced from PTDI. So the loading of all collections comes from

PTDI, both the 1: 1 scale collection and the collection with another scale. Hangar PTDI is a boxed

building, very massive and large, so the Indonesian Aerospace Museum responds to this form with

circular geometry and some geometry based on site and context analysis. Based on the function of the

Aerospace museum, which displays several aircraft with a large size, it takes a large space without a

barrier. So that the period of the building consists of a large period and stretched wide. The width

spans in the building are responded by using the truss space structure.

The design theme at the Indonesian Aerospace museum is flowing. Flowing describes the

circulation of the Aerospace museum in the circulation of the site, display, or collection. The circulation

of the site comprising the circulation of visitors and employees is designed by flowing around easily.

On the display, circulation also flows radically with some room experience for visitors. |
