Description
Summary:To identify the reduction of ground water in Jakarta, has been done twice gravity measurements from July 2008 until September 2009. From the measurement data can be

identified time lapse microgravity anomalies involving tidal correction, drift correction, and correction of subsidence. For the purposes of interpretation of the reduction of ground water based on the value of density contrast, for two-dimensional modeling using Geomodel

software and for three-dimensional inversion modeling using GRAV3D software, which is supported by the well data, precipitation data, and geological data as control data. Changes in the subsurface density contrasts indicate an addition or reduction of ground water. Density contrast is positive in response to the addition of surface water and land subsidence, while the density contrast which is negative in response to mass reduction related to ground water consumption. The largest ground water reduction contained in the area of East Jakarta

(Pulogadung) with a reduction in groundwater ± 4 m and in North Jakarta (Tanjung Priok) with a reduction in groundwater ± 5 m. Additional surface water occurs in Ciracas (southern Jakarta). And from this study, identified ± 10 cm of land subsidence in the central business district, Mega Kuningan.
