Blimbingsari Airport id located in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java. There is a high growth and improvement of passanger activity in Blimbingsari Airport. This is caused by crawl of tourism in Banyuwangi that bring a lot of foreign and domestic tourists. Blimbingsari Passanger Terminal is planned to accomodate 1,2 million passanger per year with the terminal area 8036,82 m2, consist of departure area, arrival area, public and operational function. <br /> <br /> The important issues in design are user circulation, accesibility, security, and comfortable. Besides that, locality issues and behavior issues are considered in design proccess. So, the passanger terminal not just being succeded funtionally but can cause impression for the users. <br /> <br /> Blimbingsari Passanger Terminal is designed with “Globality from Locality” concept. The design approach is locality and functionality. The concept will be applied in the concept of space, building structure, and interior elements. The most dominant locality element in this design concept is Barong Kemiren, an authentic Banyuwangi’s Barong with two wings. Its application in design is as an abstraction of form and expression of the Blimbingsari Airport Passenger Terminal building.
