Railway transport is one of public transportation which can transport high number of passengers. It also has high reliability in arrival time aspect. Therefore, this transportation is one of many solutions to solve various urban transportation problems where its demand of mobility is high. In West Sumatere Province, railway transportation as solution for its transportation problem has been started to be applied. Reactivation of abandoned existing railway track in Padang Panjang, specifically in Kayu Tanam – Padang Panjang – Batu Tabal corridor is one step of solving the problem. All bridges in those corridor will be evaluated to satisfy the change of required strength provision because the train type is upgraded to 100 km/hour train. Bridges design should satisfy required strength and rigidity which refer to the relevant codes in Indonesia. Steel will be used as the material, meanwhile Warren Truss is chosen as the structural design of the bridge that will be design here. Steel is the favoured choice because this material has been common in railway bridge construction in Indonesia, so the construction difficulty is relatively low. Beside that, it has low cost and easy to detach if the service period has run out. The bridge that will be designed has three spans of (15+15+15) meters and supported by two reinforced concrete pier with simple support system. text
