DESIGN LANDSCAPE OF PARK AT DOBO'S FERRY PORT AREA

The design objectives of this final project is to utilize un-used space of Dobo Ferry Port as an active and a passive parks that can fulfill the function as <br /> <br /> Galaydubu's communities socializing space and as a socializing between communities Galaydubu and passenger ferry who first came to the city Dobo, in addition to the park is expected to realize its function as a port city gate Dobo. Galaydubu district, which has an area of 1 km2, with a total building area of 0.98 km2 and population density 9.427 people/ km², includes most populous village in the district of Aru Islands even in the city of Dobo. So it does not allow the provision of park in this region, in addition to utilizing Dobo Ferry Port. Thus, the area has an additional function as a public park for the Galaydubu district. Dobo Ferry Port area is one of the vital means of transportatiom linking the city Dobo with other regions. However, this ferry port has not fulfilled its function as a gateway of a region, particularly in the utilization of outer space. The port which has an area of 12.945 m² of outdoor space (without dock) functions only when ferries deck is 2 times a week. Otherwise, the port space is used by several people to just sit around.
