The explanation of photoelectric effect is given in XII grade, but it is usually only explained theoretically. It caused by the limited of experiment equipment at school. Therefore, this study intended to make a simple photoelectric effect apparatus with LASER pointer as the light source to measure the value Planck constanta, value of Caesium work function and long wave of LASER pointer that has been used. The study used IP39 photo cell made from caesium that had 2,1 eV of work function value, where as the light that been used were red, green and violet. The result from experiment shows that the value of Planck constanta was 7,03x10-34 Js, value of caesium work function was 1,86 eV, and the value of long wave from green light and violet light was 501,26 nm and 447,17 nm. The conclusion from the study was the simple apparatus for photoelectric effect can be used at school. text |
