In this thesis, the riser optimization was not related to the changing of reservoir performance and it is accomplished by varying flow parameters and hypothetical data. Optimization was performed through sensitivity analysis on gas liquid ratio, water cut, and reservoir pressure decline. Pressure losses in riser are estimated using Hagedorn and Brown correlation. The results which are acquired from the simulation shows that the optimum riser for all condition is 10.75 inch, with the effect of GLR is more dominant than the increment of water cut. Based on Schmidt flow pattern map, for hypothetic data range which is used in this simulation, the results for wide ranges of gas liquid ratio are single phase flow pattern, slug flow pattern for GLR of 100 scf/stb, and annular flow pattern which occurs at gas liquid ratio more than 200 scf/stb. |
