Summary: | Urban tourism is a common form of tourism that utilizes urban elements (not agriculture) and all things related to the aspects of urban life (service centers and economic activities) as a tourist attraction. Tourist attraction is one of the three components required in forming a tourist destination. The tourist attraction only has meaning for the development of the region if it is easy to visit, meaning it has a high level of accessibility (accessibility). One of the potential factors for the establishment of a tourist destination is the presence of tourism support facilities. Binong Jati knitting village is one of the centers in Bandung and the only center that already has a tourism manager. Binong Jati knitting village that has existed since the 1960s began to penetrate the field of tourism. Originally knit village only as a knitting center that every day to produce knitting products dozens. But by 2013 there are shops that sell knitting in units. This is as one form of support in the procurement of tourism in the region and also as a preparation for the formation of binong Jati knit village as a knitting tourist destination area. Before making the village of Binong Jati knitting as a tourist destination required criteria on each indicator. The indicator will be used as one of the assessment of the readiness of regional establishment. Batik Kauman village serve as a precedent for each assessment indicator. The method of analysis used in this research is triangulation theory which is used to get the appropriate indicator for the assessment, content analysis which is used to identify the fulfillment of indicator of tourist destination area, and gap analysis to know the deficiency of the knitting village. Based on the research results, there are 3 components of tourism products with 36 indicators as the basis of assessment. Binong Jati knitting village has not fulfilled as a tourist destination area, so it needs support from various parties in its development, both in terms of area and document support. |
