Summary:Port of Patimban is planned to be built in 2017 in Patimban Village, Pusakanagara District, Subang Regency, West Java Province. This port is planned to support the ports in North Jakarta that is considered of having an important and indispensable role to support the national economy and serve the marine transportation activities, one of which is the transportation of containers on a large scale. Therefore, the operation scheme design of the container terminal needs to be done to determine the maximum potential capacity in the planned port. This final project discusses about the operation scheme design of Port of Patimban Container Terminal Stage II. <br /> <br /> Operation scheme design is done based on the dimension of the terminal that is already planned by the government. Discussions in this final project include designing operation scheme at apron area, operation scheme at stacking yard area, determining horizontal transportation necessity, calculating capital cost based on the equipment necessity, and determining the container handling fare. The design of the operation scheme at apron area includes designing berthing combinations at the dock, determining the type and quantity of container handling equipment at the dock, calculating the productivity of the equipment, and calculating the capacity of apron area. The design of the operation scheme in the stacking yard area includes determining the orientation of the container stacking blocks, determining the type and quantity of stacking equipment, the productivity of the stacking equipment, and calculating the capacity of the stacking yard area. The determination of horizontal transportation necessity includes determining the type and quantity of the horizontal transportation equipment. The calculation of capital cost and the determination of container handling fare include calculating the total capital cost, calculating the total expenditure per year during payback period, calculating the total annual income requirement during payback period, and determining the container handling fare.
