Kahayan is the largest river crosses Palangka Raya city. Kahayan river had a lot of historical value to the city as the forerunner Palangka Raya City located on the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> banks. Strategic location make this district as a centre of economics of Palangka Raya City unfortunately the development of this area had decreased quality of space and make this area becomes less attractive. This condition makes the government initiative to redevelopment this area through the concept of waterfront city to give a new image, improving the quality of space as one of city identity, and make the area more attractive and beautiful. Design method is <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> systematic synoptic. Result of this studies concludes that redevelopment Kahayan waterfront by approach urban waterfront redevelopment and apply the principles <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> of urban waterfront can give a new image to Kahayan waterfront. Waterfront city concept can create a new and unique characters cause it has a green open space and public open space as a place to socialize and have some fun. Mixed use waterfront is using to turn the area and give a fresh new look, new character, and new image that can make tourist come and join to enjoy this area more and more. Application of the likage visual and structural linkage theory can united every function in the area and united Kahayan waterfront with the surrounding area so Kahayan waterfront is part of Palangka Raya City.
