Actually physics not only discusses about the theory and its applications in daily life, but also doing experiment. To solve this problem, an interactive learning media is created using Visual Basic for Application (VBA) PowerPoint on the topic of images formation by mirrors, thin lenses, and some applications. There are two optical applications made on this media. The first application is images formation <br /> <br /> by combined lens consist of concave-convex lens or a convex-concave lens and the second application is microscope. The constructing begins with arrangement of <br /> <br /> materials on the optics geometry and their applications in several optics devices. Next, we had to create a media display that consist of a CommandButtons and TextBoxs, then we write programs on macro Visual Basic editor to activate the desired command. An experiment on image formation by a convex lens was also conducted to validate the simulation. Differences between experiment and theory <br /> <br /> was 0.04% for convex lens with focal distance of 5 cm and 0.02% for convex lens with a focal distance of 10 cm. Based on trial results media with 8 respondents using a questionnaire, it was obtained a score of 4.51 from a scale 1 to 5. Therefore, this interactive learning media can be used by students to figure out the process of <br /> <br /> images formation by mirrors, thin lenses and their applications in daily life. text |
