Description
Summary:Power plant equipments are very important assets for a power generation company. They became the subject of maintenance that requires an ideal strategy. PT Sumber Segara Primadaya (PT S2P) as Cilacap Coal Fired Steam Power Plant (CFSPP) owner realized that the optimization of maintenance programs must be implemented to improve the plant availability and reliability which has impaired many nuisances due to failure/ damage equipments. The firm management needs a method to provide the solutions to achieve enterprise performance which meet to the budget plan with the plant needs.<p>The method to be used is the first phase of the Reliability Improvement - Asset Optimization Program which has been developed in the holding company, PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali, namely the Systems & Equipment Reliability Prioritization (SERP). SERP is used in order to get an overview of business risks of PT S2P to the most critical equipments that require an extra attention of maintenance management. There are eight parameters of the risk which are divided into three categories. Six parameters are for the system criticality ranking, one parameter is for operational criticality ranking and one parameter is for asset failure probability factor. Each of eight parameters is assigned to the weight/ ranking in accordance with the SERP guidelines and the calculation analysis will produce the Maintenance Priority Index (MPI) for equipments of the power plant. MPI will provide information to the management about equipments which become the main concern. On the next stage of Reliability Improvement, 10% highest ranked of the most critical equipment will be the input to the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
