Description
Summary:Kebon Melati Tropical Apartment is a building that serves as an apartment located in Kebon Melati, Central Jakarta. Kebon Melati Tropical Apartment consists of three towers namely Tower A (28 floors)m Tower B (30 floors), and Tower C (32 floors) as apartments, two basement floors as parking lot, and two podium floors. This final project focuses on the foundastion design of the upperstructure and basement, including the design of a 17.5 meter retaining wall as protection of basement excavation along with ground anchor support system.

The foundation design is conducted as following, determining the axial-load capacity of a single bored pile based on Reese and Wright method. Determining the lateral-load capacity of a single bored pile using ENSOFT LPILE software. Analyzing the group capacity using ENSOFT GROUP software, which includes group reduction factor and cyclic loading. Calculate the settlement using method by Poulos Davis and raft equivalent. Then comparing the differential settlement of each pile to the permissible deformation limit. At last, based on the calculation above the author will design the reinforcement for tie beam, bored pile and pile cap. The foundation design is then checked with the pile loading test results. Its is obtained that the ultimate capacity of the design is under the results from the pile load test and the design load-settlement curve is slightly larger than the load test result so the design of the foundation is adequate.

The retaining wall design is carried out by stages: determining the dimension and depth of penetration for diaphragm wall, designing ground anchor support system, stability analysis, deformation and force analysis with PLAXIS 2D program, analysis of basal heave safety factor and reinforcement design of diaphragm wall.

The reinforcement design of bored pile and diaphragm wall is based on SNI 03-2847-2013 “The Planning and Design of Concrete Structure for Building Construction”
Indonesian Regulation Code.
