In semi-dynamic datum perspective, those tectonic plates movement must be modelled (deformation model) for point position transformation purpose from the measurement epoch to the reference epoch. In this research, analysis will be held to determine the most appropriate method for modelling the horizontal secular deformation for Indonesian region based on Global Positioning System (GPS) observations data, using three methods, i.e. (1) rigid plate model based on Euler pole rotation parameters, (2) gridding based on GPS station actual velocity vectors without take into account the block boundaries, and (3) gridding method based on GPS station actual velocity vectors with take into account the block boundaries. Based on the analysis of residual and validation result, reveal that the most approriate modelling method for Indonesia region is combination method. text |
