Summary: | Waduk Melati (which located in Kecamatan Tanah Abang, Central of Jakarta) accomodated treated water from domestic activities in Kelurahan Kebon Melati and Kelurahan Kebon Kacang urban areas. It means that Waduk Melati will accomodate 65.711 population and various urban facilities. At this this time, it is known that there is only 30% of total area is accommodated by existing centralized WWTP. So we know there is still about 70% of total area which has not been served, so there are some of domestic water which flow directly into water body without any treatment process. This made Waduk Melati is polluted based on pollution index data in Central Jakarta Year 2011 (sourced from Buku Putih Sanitasi ‘Acceleration of Sanitation Develpoment of Settlements). So a new installation is needed to treat domestic waste water for area that has not been accomodated with a capacity of 30 liters/second. In this planning, biological treatment technology, moving bed biofilm reactor, is used which is considered to be the most suitable with the existing condition and community needs. The wastewater treatment system is also consist of other processing units: bar screen, sedimentasion basin I, clarifier, and sluge processing units: gravity thickener and sludge drying bed. The effluent quality should compiled the standardized quality that stated in PerMen LHK 68 Year 2016 about Quality Standard of Domestic Wastewater. This planning is made for protecting the environment quality and public health. |
