Summary:In the process of designing offshore structures there are many randomness factors in both the loading and the strength of the structure itself. To encompass this uncertainty, we apply the load factor to the structural design process. Commonly used load factors are WSD (Working Stress Design) and LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design) which each provide an uncertainty factor to the load value and the strength value of the structure. The design standard commonly used in the offshore platform design process in Indonesia is the LRFD RP2A API which creates its own load factor based on environmental conditions in the Gulf of Mexico, which is very much different from Indonesia's environmental conditions. For information on the use of LRFD load factor in Indonesia, a structural design with criteria meets In-place analysis, Seismic analysis, and Fatigue analysis as per API RP2A LRFD. For further research, structures that have met the LRFD design criteria are then searched for reliability indices as structural strength parameters against random variable load and strong material. In this study selected four main members, each representing four main parts of the structure. The reliability analysis is done by using Monte Carlo method commonly used in engineering world. The value of the structure reliability index will determine whether the design of the conservative structure or not to the LRFD load factor.
