Description
Summary:Multiple is a wave which is reflected to the reflector more than one. Multiple occurs because of high contrast impedance between two mediums. Multiple attenuation can be done by several techniques, one of them is the parabolic radon transform. This technique utilizing the CMP gathers which have been corrected NMO to separate primary events with multiple.NMO correction depends on choosing an appropiate velocity.

On this paper to determine the appropiate velocity for NMO correction is performed on 2D marine synthetic data and 2D land real data. Velocity determination is done by two methods which are conventional method and CRS method. By using the CRS semblance velocity analysis we can choose the appropriate velocity easier. Then performed multiple

attenuation using parabolic radon transform techniques which take advantage of the NMO correction velocity analysis has been conducted and evaluated by comparing the results of post stack time migration
