Astronomy is one the oldest knowledge in the world. Along with the development of technology, <br /> <br /> <br /> astronomy science is developing as well and bring up new discoveries. Unfortunately, there are no <br /> <br /> <br /> facilities to learn astronomy in a way that are interactive and easy to understand. <br /> <br /> <br /> This project is a museum of astronomy project that is located in a Technopolis area in Gedebage, <br /> <br /> <br /> Bandung. This project is owned by one of the developer in that area, PT Mahkota Permata Perdana. <br /> <br /> <br /> This project location is quite strategic because it is situated in an area that has thorough infrastructure. <br /> <br /> <br /> The site itself is located along the edge of a lake that can be used to draw visitors. <br /> <br /> <br /> The total area of this project is around 5,000 m2. The main room that is accomodated in this project <br /> <br /> <br /> is divided into three exhibitions room which are museum using train, hands-on museum, and <br /> <br /> <br /> planetarium. The other functions besides the exhibitions are education facilities such as library and <br /> <br /> <br /> classroom, non-exhibit exhibition room, administrator room, and commercial facilities such as <br /> <br /> <br /> restaurant and souvenir store. <br /> <br /> <br /> The issues in this project are ambience, circulation, and zoning issue. The main concept that is used <br /> <br /> <br /> is ambience with the tagline ‘fly through space and time’ as the parti. the design approach used are <br /> <br /> <br /> circulation, ambience, zoning, and contextual approach.
