Description
Summary:Visual texture exploration on fabric is the general concept of this final project, inspired by the medieval peasant’s tough and modest way of living, as a reminder of our first and basic living skill, survival. Printing the surface of fabric using rusty objects is done to create unique visual texture on this final project.

This final project incorporate the use of rust dye as the main technique, considering the potential of the technique and also the abundance of rusty materials aiming for rich visual texture and unique final product. Other technique that is used in the making of this final project is natural dyes like tea and coffee to sadden the colour of the final look.

The final product created in this final project is a ready-to-wear fashion collection, with accessories such as bags and belt with minimal silhouette to balance the rich texture of the fabric, which shows the detail and high craftsmanship on the surface. This project will inspire Indonesian textile designers to incorporate and explore rust dye technique on their work.
