Summary: | Have been fabricated rice husk particle board with epoxy adhesive. Manufacture of particle board through stages: destructed rice husk, rice husk mixing with epoxy, molding, heating, conditioning and heating. Characterization of physical properties include density, water content, water absorption, and thickness development. Characterization of mechanical properties include, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity and tensile strength. Test results of research refers to the SNI 03-2105-2006, shows physical properties and mechanical properties have to meet the standards, but the modulus of elasticity. Physical properties include density ranges from 0,71 gam/cm3 – 0,81 gam/cm3, the water content ranged from 2,89% - 5,79%, the thickness development 7,29% –17,28%. The mechanical properties of modulus of rupture meets the standards, ranging from 2256,16kgf/cm2to 5451,62 kgf/cm2. While the modulus of elasticity did not meet SNI 03-2105-2006, because it was still under 20400 kgf/cm2. |
