High sedimentation cause river silting and decrease the ability of the river to accommodate the current flow of high rainfall intensity. Floods caused by overflowing of Ciwidey river upstream resulted in huge losses including of physical losses and non-physical losses. The hydraulic model is based on HEC’s River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) version 4.1.0 . water surface profile calculations performed by the steady flow module is based on the completion of one - dimensional equations. Model simulations performed in order to obtain the appropriate river conditions to field conditions. Based on the results of using the steady flow of flood discharge plan period of 20 years ( Q20 = 709,9772 m3 / s ), The results of steady state simulation shows that most of all the cross section depth exceeds the freeboard (1 m) and flooded. The highest floods reaching 4,21 m while the lowest reaching 0,28 m. Normalization planning is done on the entire cross section of the river to form a single trapezoidal cross-section, channel depth of 8 meters, the slope of the line 1.0 and 1.5, and the width varies between 7 - 25 meters. Based on the simulation results of the new sectional, found that all of the cross-section able to accommodate the 20-year flood discharge plan and meet the criteria for surveillance by 1 meters high. Average height difference between the riverbank and the water level in the entire cross-section is 4.08 meters. text
