These countries have consumed 80% of the world's energy. In addition, Indonesia is also included in a country experiencing a deficit in energy supply and at the same time Indonesia has a demand for high energy, thus forcing the Indonesian state to make savings. Energy use in Indonesia has increased in various sectors. One sector that has experienced an increase in energy use is the commercial sector. The development of energy use in the commercial sector is expected to increase by 6.5% per year with electricity use growing by 6.6% per year.

Rental office building is one of the commercial buildings that use the most energy in the use of electrical energy. A total of 47% of energy usage in office buildings is used to cool buildings. The high use of cooling energy in buildings is influenced by the amount of solar radiation exposed to the building envelope. The heat transfer value in the building envelope is defined as the OTTV value with a predetermined standard value. The solution that can be done to reduce the use of cooling energy in buildings is by applying the concept of Passive Design. The Principle of Form Follow Energy becomes one of the solutions in creating building form which can minimize radiation value in building envelope. In this thesis, parametric design is used as a design method. The parametric design process will determine the optimal form of building mass with the minimum radiation value but still pay attention to the efficiency value of rental office building. The design of building facades is done parametrically to get the shape of the facade that has the value of OTTV in accordance with the standard. The final result of this thesis is the form of criteria and strategies that can be used to reduce the value of heat transfer into the building.
text |
