A detail information about study area can affect establishment of DED. One of technology that can be used for appearancing whole of study area in shorter time is Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR). The purpose of this research is to review LiDAR technology on making DED for road maintenance. LiDAR data will be processed for producing Digital Terrain Models (DTM). Futhermore, the models is detected as road object by operator with manual vectorization. Beside that, the data will be used for making contour. The contour generated with kriging method to produce contour with interval 0.5 meter and Douglas-Peucker for contour line simplification. In conclusion, utilization of LiDAR data can produce contour for arranging DED which the advantage is time efficient be compared than terrestris method in produce contour with interval 0.5 meters. text
