The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of participation of local residents in the EIA of airport development. The Activities of participation namely inform and consultation. This study uses triangulation method which consists of a questionnaire as a survey, reviewing other studies, and reviews of online media. The total samples are 98 respondents and using univariat statistical analysis. <br />

According to the research study, review previous studies, and online media that information and consultation are done by local communities in the EIA is still weak. Based on the research results that the results of a questionnaire survey shows the results of a questionnaire survey to the field of information in which 58.2% of respondents stated the weakness of information activities, meanwhile for field consultation 78.1% of respondents said the lack of consultation by the government or related parties. With these results, the level of public participation in EIA is based on the theory Arstein still at the level of tokenism (only for legality) in other words local participation does not have an influence on the decision-making process. Therefore, it needs enhance to involve public participation in informing and consultation. |
